Recession

The first Article breifly outlined how the American dollar is doing suprisingly well and how it's helping bands out a lot who tour the world. The second one explained how in Bangalore, Rock bands are being limited to the number of shows they can perform. What would've been two shows per month has been limited to two shows per six months.

Article Summary & Then Some

The Article basically stated how Paul Facella reached to be a regional vice president after working at McDonalds for 34 years. Paul also gave six benifits to a bottom-rung job; teaches you the ropes, hones your work style, refines relationship skills, creates opportunities, forms networks, and reinforces humility.
The benifits of a bottom- rung job to me is that it teaches you how to work in a job enviornment, get the hang of it, learn to be a team- player, and learn how to deal with people. All of these will help you to prepare for your future career wherever it may be. I see no negatives to a bottom- rung job, because it is meant to teach you. I guess i have a bottom rung job because I work on base at the comissary, but i don't seem to mind it that much, it's pretty easy. It teaches me how to become a better person for the future, and there are kids like me there, so i fit in fine.
As far as the store goes, It seems to be going just fine. I see no frustrations on my part and I'm thankful for it. No frustrations must mean that i'm doing what i'm suppossed to :).

In Defense to My Career Path

I know the career path that i'm doing in regards to my future occupation is right. My career path that i will take is to hopefully take general courses at a college, and end up making the important decision of which job i want when the time comes. I'd rather get some work done, instead of waiting to make up my mind about which career I want to do. My sister took some general courses at her college for an art major, but she later started a family and ended up choosing photography. As a result of her taking general courses instead of just majoring for an artist or something, she was able to have many branches of other jobs available for her.
