My Future Career

The career that I want to have when I get older, is to start a band with friends, make some music, and see where it takes us. There is usually a debate about how much education you'd need for this type of career, but personally I think you must have at least a college-level education, or at least have a good understanding of the english language, or whatever you speak because somone in the band is going to have to be the lyrisict, and they'd have to have a good understanding of rhymes, sentence structures and what not. Next, you obviously have to play an instrument or have a good musical background. Bands make music, I don't understand how a band would be sucessful if they didn't have a musical backround. NO degrees, internships, certificates, or requiring you to go to a trade school is required. The life of a band can have many benifits, but that all depends on if people like your music as much as you do, and hopefully you like the music you create. Working hours, I can imagine would be debateable with the band, but im sure a lot of time would be put into it if you want to be sucessful.

Journal 2

My second day at the store was pretty enjoyable as well. The skills I think im using the most are my talking skills, and mulit-tasking. Talking, because you have to communictae to the people you work with, and as well as the people you're serving. Multi-tasking, because while you are ringing up something on the register you have to either tell someone to get the item/items while you are ringing it up, or you have to remember to go grab the stuff after youve rung it up if people are busy. Things are pretty much the same. Larry says im the only person that actually works there haha. I sure hope not.
